Donation in Action

This season, thanks to a generous donation from the Dale Townzen Memorial Fund, the Colusa Swim team (celebrating its 50th year) will be installing a cover on the city pool.

The benefits of a cover not only serve the team, but the city and Colusa residents as well. The city anticipates a significant savings in water costs, chemicals, and overall maintenance with this addition. The pool will also keep a better regulated and warmer temperature, giving both the team and the community an option for an extended swimming season.

Reel it In

With a generous donation from Colusa Rotary and the CJ LaGrand Family, the Cyclones were able to update our lane reel and lanes in 2020. This equipment is put to heavy use each season, being put in the pool and put away daily.

The importance of these lanes goes beyond giving swimmers a cool pool - swim lanes are designed specifically with flow through technology that allows for turbulence control, elimination dead spots and water bounce-back. In other words, it provides a faster swim environment by limiting drag and making sure swimmers have the most effective use of their energy.
